To create an inclusive society where every girl and woman is empowered, valued, educated, confident, and equipped to live an independent and meaningful life. We are especially committed to ensuring that girls and women with developmental disabilities have equal access to opportunities, support, inclusion, and the resources needed to thrive with dignity and purpose.
VisionHer Educational Empowerment Foundation was born from a deep passion to empower
girls and women and create inclusive opportunities for those who are often overlooked.
Founded by Dr. Chioma Udemba, VisionHer began with a simple but powerful belief: every
girl and woman deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, lead, and
live with dignity and purpose.
Through years of experience working with women, girls, and vulnerable communities, Dr.
Udemba witnessed the challenges many individuals face due to lack of support, limited
opportunities, social barriers, and disability-related exclusion. She became especially
passionate about creating safe and empowering spaces where girls and women with
developmental disabilities could build confidence, independence, life skills, and meaningful
community connections.
What started as a vision of compassion and empowerment has grown into a registered
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to education, mentorship,
leadership development, vocational skills, and inclusive support programs for girls and
women of all abilities.
Today, VisionHer continues to grow as a movement of hope, inclusion, and empowerment —
helping participants discover their strengths, develop their talents, and reach their full
potential. We believe that when girls and women are empowered, families are strengthened,
communities are transformed, and lives are changed for generations.
When she learns, the world rises.
These principles guide everything we do at VisionHer
We believe every girl and woman deserves the opportunity, support, and confidence to discover her strengths, develop her abilities, and reach her full potential.
